8 days left....

Okay, so I have to be honest.  I feel like I have been dominating the blog lately.  For those of you who come here looking for Shaila, I am sorry.  I know that she is more of a blogger than me and is a better writer and so forth, but you will have to be patient with us.  In the commotion of getting ready for the wedding and moving and everything else I just seem to have a little time to sit at a computer and blog.  Like now, I am sitting in the waiting room of the Hyundai dealership in Utah getting the much needed checkup done on the car.  Shaila is getting a manicure, pedicure and facial at the local salon.

At this point we are both more or less moved out of our apartments, she is done and I only have a towel and sheets at my apartment to sleep and shower there.  We are finishing up things tonight and packing tomorrow.  For me it almost seems unreal.  The feelings are rushing in and I find myself disbelieving a little that the time has finally arrived.  It is a great feeling too, knowing that Shaila and I get to start this new chapter in our lives together.  It is going to be awesome.  I am so excited for the next few weeks and I am sure that it will all be crazy and amazing.  I am sure you will not hear from me until after I am sealed to Shaila so for now, have a great first few weeks in May and I will be back with more pics and life updates after the wedding!

Painting

We love our new apartment, okay it is really not an apartment as much as half a house but whatever you call it we love it.  It is the whole downstairs of a house.  The best part is that it is only half buried in the ground so we have big 4ft tall windows in almost every room to let light in and during the day you almost can't tell you are below ground except for when you look outside you see the ground.

No matter though we love it.  It has the cutest little bathroom, and kitchen and dining room.  It has a huge storage closet and the biggest walk in closet ever for Shaila's clothes.  It is just perfect.  There were only two problems, well one problem just two rooms with the same problem.  The color of the walls.  The people who lived there before liked green and yellow.  Now you might say we do too, based on the colors that surround you as you read this and our wedding colors and so forth.  However we hated the shades they chose to paint with.  Our kitchen and dining room area was painted with three different colors. We did not like it at all.  And the bedroom, well it was a bright orange.  No thank you.

So this past weekend we started to paint.  We managed to get the walls completely primed and ready for some new color.  Hopefully we will have it done soon and will post some pics of the new place finished.

Starting to cover the yellow wall

The rest of the kitchen primed
starting to cut in the green wall in the dining room

We Got An Apartment!!!!

Once upon a time there was a young engaged couple. They were so in love and couldn't wait to get married. After the proposal, they started making all of the wedding arrangements. Several months passed and everything was coming together. The fair maiden was fitting into her dress, while the dashing young man paid for their fabulous lover's holiday. Time was passing with ease, it seemed. That is until the last seven weeks before their marriage. They searched far and wide for a place to live. They visited apartment after apartment trying to find something suitable. But, alas, they found nothing. As soon as they found one that they liked, it was swept right out from under their feet. They were both very distraught and didn't know what to do. After much worry, the heavens opened up and sent them a miracle! The marvelous place that they had been hoping for all along finally became available! A grand, spacious apartment (well within their budget)! The couple couldn't be more excited!
They are well on their way to happily ever after!
